About

The Vancouver Lawn Masters Tennis Championships is sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation as a 400-series event. The tournament draws the best seniors players from across BC and beyond with 300+ partcipants.


How to Enter

Entry deadline: March 27th

An IPIN (international player identification number) is required to enter the tournament. When creating an IPIN account, choose the World Masters Circuit option.

Enter the tournament once you are logged in to your IPIN account.

2 Doubles Events: The IPIN site will only allow you to enter one doubles event. Please email the following info to Heather Nivison, Athletics Dircector at hnivison@vanlawn.com to enter a second doubles event: Name, IPIN, Event, Partner Name, Partner IPIN.

 

Entry Fee

IPIN fee, player gift, and players' reception included.

Payment of the entry fee is due before the tournament starts. A 10% administration fee will be added for late payments.

General Schedule

All players should be prepared to play the first weekend of the tournament (Easter Weekend from April 7th-10th). 

Matches for ages 30-60 will take place from 9am onwards on weekends/holidays, including Easter weekend, and from 5pm onwards on weekdays.

Matches for ages 65+ will take place from 9am onwards on weekends/holidays, including Easter weekend, and from 1pm onwards on weekdays.

Avoidances

Each player may have ONE avoidance. Avoidance requests must be submitted to the Tournament Referee by email before the entry deadline. Requests must be for a specific date/time. Avoidances covering multiple date ranges will not be accommodated due to the size of the tournament.

Draws & Schedule

Consolations will be offered for singles only. You must register for consolations with the Tournament Referee.

Vancouver Lawn Rules

  • Talking on cell phones inside the Club is not allowed. Please turn mobile devices off or to silent before entering. Text/email is okay. No audio!
  • VLTBC has a strict white court attire policy. Each article of visible clothing including hats, visors, headbands, socks, shorts, shirts, and warm-up clothing must be predominantly white. No more than 10% color on each visible item. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Non-marking court shoes with colour and athletic braces are allowed.

Spectators

  • Spectators are welcome but must sign in at Member Services upon entering the Club.
  • Note that there is no specator space inside our Tennis bubbles.

Parking

  • Street parking is available. Please watch for restrictions.
  • ​Guests may park in the VLTBC front parking lot accessed off of Fir Street or the roof top parking lot accessed off of 16th Avenue.
  • All guests must enter through the Front Entrance accessed off of Fir Street at 15th Avenue.
  • If you park in our lots, please register your license plate with Member Services.


Players' Reception 

Players' Reception takes place on Tuesday, April 11th from 5:30-7:00pm. Dress code is smart casual. Guest tickets are not available at this time. 

Practice Courts & Club Facilities

Practice courts are not available. Tournament players may use the locker rooms and Fitness Annex area for warm up but are not permitted to use any other Club facilities including the pool, hot tub, or courts outside of tournament play unless they have a valid reciprocal member card.

Food & Beverage

Outside food and beverage is not permitted. Non-Members may purchase food and beverage at the Club using debit or credit card. We do not accept cash anywhere in the Club.
